A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Departments of Neurology and Anatomy at the medical school of University of Wisconsin-Madison. This position is designed to study molecular mechanisms of neuronal migration and dendrite development in the cerebral cortex. The successfully recruited candidate will mainly focus on generating and analyzing genetic animal models using molecular, cellular, immunochemical, and in vitro cell and slice culture approaches. Applicants must hold a PhD degree or equivalent with strong background and expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell/tissue culture. Experience with mouse work will be an additional advantage.
