We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to join our group (beginning summer of 2008) focusing on cancer biology related specifically to melanoma pathogenesis and functional genomics of targeted therapy at UCLA (Dermatology/Medicine and the Jonnson Comprehensive Cancer Center). The applicant should possess a strong background in cellular, molecular biology, and biochemistry and have a keen interest in translational research. The successful candidate should have a PhD or MD/PhD, be ready to embrace cutting-edge technology to answer human disease relevant questions, and should have strong communication skills. This position provides opportunities to interact with other investigators at UCLA interested in melanoma from the immunotherapy and molecular imaging angles. Experience in bioinformatics is a plus.
