A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (New York City). Our group has recently identified a 5HT2A/mGluR2 receptor complex implicated in schizophrenia and psychosis (www.nature.com/nature/journal/vaop/ncurrent/abs/nature06612.html). The research projects are focused on the investigation of the structure and function of the receptor complex in vitro, in mouse models, and in postmortem human brain. Expertise in G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR), molecular biology, neurobiology, neuronal culture and animal work is desirable.
